Somewhere Only We Know

Lily Allen provides the soundtrack to John Lewis's new Christmas advert, The Bear & The Hare.

Peak position: 2
First charted: 10th November 2013

John Lewis' festive ads are becoming a traditional part of Christmas, over the past few years the songs featured in the ads have ended up in the Vodafone Big Top.  Ellie Goulding even scored a No. 1 with her cover of Elton John's 'Your Song' in 2010, and last year Garbielle Aplin's version 'The Power Of Love' made it to No. 2.

So, does Lily Allen have a No. 1 on her hands?  Could she even go on to bad the coveted Christmas No. 1?

The stunning ad is set in a beautiful forest, poor Bear is the only animal that never gets to celebrate Christmas because he has to hibernate every year. However, this year is different. This year Hare has a brilliant idea.

Take a look at the advert and let us know what you think below...

  6. "I think this song should be no.1, "How long will I love you" is good as well but "Somewhere only we know" is better. The advert is really good as well because it's like a bedtime Christmas story, I think it has the potential to get both the Christmas no.1 and no.1 in general."
