21/06/09: Unlimited fries are on me!

What a week! The first show was amazing. It was a real buzz to press that first button at 4pm last Sunday and to finish by playing the first number 1 on The Big Top 40 Show.

What you may not of realized as you were listening at home, was as we were playing out the top 10 we had a studio full of people, all looking as terrified as we were. The chart has to finish on time, and because it's interactive we have no idea how long we have at the end of the show until we are into the top 10. So we were surrounded by pale faced producers, nervous heads of iTunes, and a wide eyed boss who had that "mess this up and your fired" look on his face. So no pressure.

I think it all came good in the end. You can tell when things work out usually by what happens next. The wide eyed boss, became less wide eyed, and turned up with a bottle of champagne! Hoorah! We went to a posh restaurant for dinner. Well...  they served "unlimited fries"... that ain't posh is it? Although having a man in a dickie bow serve unlimited fries did give it the edge.

I may have drunk a little too much to celebrate that night, as when I got to work the next day and got asked how yesterday went I questioned "what happened yesterday".
