Throwback iPod Songs

Our playlist of the biggest and best songs that were burning up our iPods back in the Noughties!

If you grew up in the 2000s, you'll definitely know these throwback tunes.

They're some of the biggest anthems from the decade that everyone had downloaded on their iPod.

Want something new? Here's 20 Of The Best Pop Songs Of 2018!

1. The Black Eyed Peas - Where Is the Love?

Release date: 16 June 2003

It's the song that introduced the world to will.iam, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo - a.k.a. The Black Eyed Peas.

'Where Is the Love?' was a huge hit for the group all over the world and actually features vocals from Justin Timberlake too!

2. Usher - Yeah!

Release date: 27 January 2004

'Yeah!' was so huge for Usher that it ended up as the second biggest song of the 2000s in the US!

The track was released as the lead single from Usher's fourth album Confessions and was followed by another massive Noughties tune - Burn.

3. Akon - Lonely

Release date: 21 February 2005

We've all tried to nail the high notes on the 'Lonely' chorus... and, well, failed every time.

'Lonely' was the main track from Akon's debut album Trouble and used an old track called 'Mr. Lonely' by Bobby Vinton but sped up to make it super high-pitched!

4. Soulja Boy Tell'em - Crank That (Soulja Boy)

Release date: 2 May 2007

We still know all the moves to this! 'Crank That (Soulja Boy)' produced one of the biggest dance crazes of the decade.

It was the lead single from Soulja Boy Tell'em's debut album souljaboytellem.com (yeah, we checked, the website doesn't exist anymore).

5. Sugababes - Push the Button

Release date: 26 September 2005

How good were Sugababes though? 'Push the Button' was one of the group's biggest hits, released as the lead single from their album Taller in More Ways

At the time, Sugababes were Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Heidi Range but the line-up has seen a few changes.

6. Lady Gaga - Just Dance ft. Colby O'Donis

Release date: 8 April 2008

'Just Dance' wasn't just the debut single for Lady Gaga but one of the best-selling tracks of all-time!

The song was written by Gaga in ten minutes and is all about going out for the night and having an amazing time. It still bangs today!

7. Estelle - American Boy ft. Kanye West

Release date: 31 March 2008

Get this - Estelle's 'American Boy' didn't just feature Kanye West, it was also written by will.i.am and John Legend!

With so many great names working on the track, it was bound to be a massive hit for the British rapper and singer!

8. JoJo - Leave (Get Out)

Release date: 15 August 2006

We've all played this at full blast after going through a nasty break-up.

'Leave (Get Out)' was the debut single for American singer JoJo but what's surprising is that the singer was only 13 years old when it was released!

9. Jay Sean - Down

Release date: 31 May 2009

'Down' wasn't just a massive hit for Jay Sean here in the UK but took off around the world.

In the US, the singer became the 'first UK urban act' to top the American charts and it was the best-selling single by a European male since Elton John's 'Candle in the Wind' back in 1997.

10. Kelly Clarkson - Since U Been Gone

Release date: 16 November 2004

Yes Kelly! 'Since U Been Gone' is definitely one of the ultimate break-up anthems.

The song was originally written for Pink but the singer turned the track down. Hilary Duff also turned it down before the track was given to American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson who added the heavy guitars and hard drums, making it her own.

11. Gym Class Heroes - Cupid's Chokehold ft. Patrick Stump

Release date: 2 January 2007

'Cupid's Chokehold' is Gym Class Heroes' biggest hit and features Fall Out Boy lead singer Patrick Stump.

If it sounds slightly familiar, that's because the track samples the 1979 song 'Breakfast in America' from Supertramp.

12. Kelis - Milkshake

Release date: 27 August 2003

'Milkshake' has got to be the thirstiest song of the decade, for many reasons.

The track was originally offered to Britney Spears, who turned it down, before being recorded by American singer Kelis.

13. 3OH!3 - Starstrukk ft. Katy Perry

Release date: 9 July 2009

American group 3OH!3 strukk up a friendship with Katy Perry after joining her for the UK dates of the Hello Katy Tour in Feburary 2009.

'Starstrukk' was the follow-up from 3OH!3's debut single 'Don't Trust Me' and we reckon both are still absolute tunes.

14. The Pussycat Dolls - Don't Cha

Release date: 19 April 2005

The Pussycat Dolls brought the sass to 2005 with 'Don't Cha' from their debut album PCD.

The track features rapper Busta Rhymes, who helped to write the song with Gnarls Barkley's CeeLo Green.

15. Replay - Iyaz

Release date: 8 June 2009

The last track on our playlist is such a throwback it even mentions "iPod" in the lyrics!

Our iPods all were stuck on replay listening to Iyaz's debut single back in 2009.
