BEP top US album chart
The Black Eyed Peas continue their chart reign scoring their first ever US No. 1 album debut.
'The E.N.D' exceeded all expectations by shifting a massive 305k units during it's first week of release to take the top spot on the US Billboard Soundscan Chart.
This follows an amazing 10 weeks at the top of the US singles chart for 'Boom Boom Pow', the first single taken from the album.
'The E.N.D' is The Energy Never Dies, the band's fifth studio album and the group's most adventurous sounding effort to date.
will.i.am describes the album's title as not about anything ending at all, but about the transformation of energy at a time of change. "We are in the middle of a really defining time right now," he says. "It's the end of the traditional era of how we experience and consume music and media".
'The E.N.D' is currently No. 4 in the UK iTunes album chart, the album's next single, 'I Gotta Feelin' is released on August 10th.
If you're off to Glastonbury, then look out for an electric set from the band when they headline the Jazz World Stage.
