Chart review
Sunday 2nd October 2011
It's been 8 weeks in the Vodafone Big Top 40 and having already spent a week at the top of our chart, last week Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger' climbed back to the top of the chart and on Sunday it managed to hold off the competition for a second week.
The highest of this week's two new entries came was came from a The Goo Goo Dolls, originally a hit in 1999, 'Iris' technically a re-entry, first time round it peaked at No. 29 but after 18-year-old, Frankie Cocozza performed it on last week's X Factor the song hes found it was way back in to our top ten as thousands of you head to iTunes to download it. 'Iris' was new this week at No. 4.
This week's only other new entry came from LMFAO, they are no stranger to the chart following their huge summer smash, 'Party Rock Anthem' but now the guys are back, their follow-up single, 'Sexy And I Know It' was new this week at No. 29.
