Cher puts Shakespears Sister back in the top 10
'Stay' was a originally a No. 1 hit for the pop act Shakespears Sister in 1992, it was one of the longest running UK No. 1s of all time spending eight weeks at the top of the chart.
Now 18 years on it's back in the top 10 and it's all thanks to a girl who would wasn't even born when the song was first released.
X Factor contestant Cher performed the haunting tune on Saturday's show as part of a Halloween themed night and less than 24 hours later the original version of the song had climbed back in to the iTunes chart.
When we locked down the Big Top 40 at 6pm on Sunday the song made it to No. 10, Rich + Kat gave Cher's mentor Cheryl Core a call on Sunday's Big Top 40 Show, listen back to Cheryl talking to us about 'Stay'...
'Stay' looks like it could climb further up the chart over the next week, could it even make it back to No. 1 for next Sunday?
