Katy's kitty nominated
It's a slightly bizarre category and the competition is tough, but Katy Perry's cat has been nominated as "Celebrity Pet" in the Teen Choice 2009 Awards.
Katy's cat, named Kitty Purry, is up against four celebrity dogs, Bo the Obamas' dog, plus Adam Sandler, Vanessa Hudgen and Ashton Kutcher's dogs. So as the only cat nominated in the category, we think Kitty stands a good chance of claiming the prize.
Including the one for her cat, Katy Perry is up for four nominations in total at the 10th annual Teen Choice Awards, which this year be hosted by the Jonas Brothers on August 10th.
Katy is also nominated for best female artists, best female album and best single for 'Hot 'n' Cold'. As well as hosting the show, The Jonas Brothers are also up for eleven awards, including nomination for their 3D Concert Experience and TV show, 'Jonas'.
Miley Cyrus, another teen star who's clearly pleased with her nominations, Tweeted to her fans, "omg i got nominated for 10 teen choice awards!!! ahhh thank u so much :) i love u guys"
