  1. "I wouldn't mind Matt doing a christmas single, especially if it's one of my favourite songs, but the fact is (with no disrespect to Matt) that his version is nowhere near as good as the original, and there were better christmas singles out there. I'm fine with Matt Cardle, I just think this song wasn't good enough to be No.1."

  2. "to be quiet honest good luck to him but i still dont agree with such a greedy programme like XFactor it takes away the whole point of being famous and talented. Having to work for it used to be one of the main things and now thanks to Simon (who i do hate) its for any tom dick or harry to claim. i will admit i have to give it to him Simon saw a gap in the market and filled the void. DOWN WITH XF"

  3. "The X Factor is a giant Con! If it were real then Wagner would NEVER had got through nor stay as long as he did, Most of the cont's couldn't even sing this year! As for being the Xmas number 1 again, yeah right! With so much better talent and songs released this rubbish should never have got to the top. Like so many others b4 him, he'll just fade away into nothin n we'll start again next year!"

  7. "I'm a huge Biffy fan saw them early december, he has not 'ruined christmas' although i do not beleive he should be number one, but does it really matter? enjoy your mince pies for gods sake! or should i say Jesus'. Biffy's version is better and matts voice is too weak for this powerful song which simon neil performs beautifully. I say this not because of this song but we need to get rid of xfactor"
