1. Jay Z and Linkin Park returned.
The unlikely duo of the world's most respected rapper and the Californian rock legends Linkin Park returned to the chart at No.36 with their 2004 mash up 'Numb/Encore'. The collaboration is now 11 years old…yup we feel old now too.

2. It's a family affair.
Echosmith kept their place at No.31 with their single 'Cool Kids'. The band is made up entirely of family members, in fact they are all siblings. Graham, Sydney, Noah, and Jamie Sierota are also from California and are looking to make their mark on the music industry.

3. 30 weeks? That's over half a year people.
Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' became the song with the most appearances in the chart from the current 40 songs. Yes, Ed's ballad has now spent 30 weeks in the chart including two stints at No.1.

4. It's all about those collaborations.
There are currently TWELVE collaborations sitting in our chart at the moment. Jessie J teamed up with Nicki Minaj & Ariana Grande, Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding have their second song 'Outside' sitting pretty at No.23 and Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne still have a track together in the top 40 too.

5. Mr. Big Top 40.
Sam Smith currently has THREE songs in the Vodafone Big Top 40. 'Like I Can' at No.17, 'I'm Not The Only One' at No.27 and 'Stay With Me' at No.29. This man makes is a chart gold making machine!

6. House music is becoming a force to be reckoned with.
Mike Mago's collaboration with Dragonette as well as Hannah Wants track with Chris Lorenzo let us know that dance music is on the rise in 2015 as their single 'Outlines' debuted at No.7 only hours after its release.

7. Move on up!
James Bay's 'Hold Back The River' made the highest climb in the weekend's show. He moved up EIGHT place to No.20 from last week's No.28.

8. Double trouble.
Taylor Swift currently holds both No.14 and No.15 in the chart with the two singles from '1989', 'Shake It Off' and 'Blank Space'.

9. Rihanna is back.
Rihanna debuted at No.4 with her latest single 'FourFiveSeconds' featuring none other than Kanye West AND Paul McCartney.

10. The day had to come at some point.
Mark Ronson's groovy record breaker 'Uptown Funk' finally gave way to another song at the top of the chart. It spent a Big Top 40 record seven weeks at the summit of the chart before moving down a place this weekend.

11. We have a new champion.
Ellie Goulding's 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' hit 'Love Me Like You Do' raced straight to the No.1 spot only hours after the midnight release of the track.
