This Week's Chart By Numbers (5th July 2015)
A look at the best highlights from this Sunday's chart including three brand spanking new entries in the top ten.
-
1. 5: Incredible new entries.
Years & Years had two new songs in the chart with 'Shine' and 'Eyes Shut'. The other three came from Eminem with 'Phenomenal', Fifth Harmony's 'Worth It' and David Zowie's 'House Every Weekend'.
-
2. 2: Awesome re-entries.
Not only did Florence + The Machine's 'Ship To Wreck' come back into the top 40 again, Birdy's 'Wings' made a comeback in acoustic form after leaving the chart two YEARS ago.
-
3. 3: Non movers (some songs just like to stay where they are).
Maroon 5's 'Sugar', James Bay's 'Let It Go' and Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' all retained their places in the countdown from the previous week.
-
4. 2: Highest climb in places.
Every now and then there are sooo many new entries in the top ten that pretty much every single below it gets pushed down. That's why Ed Sheeran's 'Photograph' is this week's highest climber only moving up the chart by TWO places.
-
5. 10: Most places dropped.
Fetty Wap has been on a hot run with 'Trap Queen' however it look like the song is finally starting to fall in the chart. Betty's breakthrough single fell from No.11 to No.21 on Sunday's show.

-
6. 1: Brand new No.1 single!
Lost Frequencies finally leapfrogged over Tinie Tempah & Jess Glynne to capture the No.1 single after two weeks at No.2.
-
7. 1: New member of the 'double-digit' club.
Hozier's 'Someone New' finally made it to TEN weeks in the Vodafone Big Top 40 this weekend. Take a bow son, take a bow.
-
8. 16: Incredible collaborations.
Once again the power of collaborations has been shown once again with almost half of the songs in the Vodafone Big Top 40 featuring more than two artists.

9. 1: RAP GOD
