This Week's Chart By Numbers (8th February 2015)

A look at the best highlights from this Sunday's chart.

    1. 50 Shades of grey soundtrack

      1. It's all about the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' soundtrack.

It's due to be one of the hottest films EVER and the soundtrack isn't too shabby either. Sia's 'Elastic Heart', The Weeknd's 'Earned It' and Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do' all charted this Sunday.

    2. Charli XCX and Rita Ora

      2. We had a total of SIX new entries (and they were all AMAZING).

Charli XCX & Rita Ora's 'Doing It' was released at midnight and made it all the way to No.7 by lockdown. Other new entries included Ne-Yo's 'Coming With You' and Chris Brown & Tyga's 'Ayo'.

    3. John Legend All Of Me Video

      3. The return of John Legend's 'All Of Me'.

The power ballad of 2014 re-entered out chart at No.32. It has now spent a collective 47 WEEKS in the Big Top 40. Only 5 weeks and that is an entire YEAR.

    4. Ed Sheeran performs

      4. Ed Sheeran racked up a BIG number.

'Thinking Out Loud' and 'Don't' have now spent a combined number of 60 WEEKS in the chart. Picture: Getty

    5. Ella Eyre DJ Fresh in the Big Top 40 Studio

      5. DJ Fresh & Ella Eyre grabbed the highest new entry spot at No.2.

The pair's collaboration rocketed to second place after it's midnight release. We haven't stopped listening to it since.

    6. Nights Avicii Music Video

      6. Dance music is at it's strongest.

There were a total of NINE dance tunes in the top 40 including the likes of Avicii's 'The Nights' and Alesso's 'Heroes (We Could Be).

    7. Ed Sheeran Fan Video

      7. There were FOUR songs with the word 'Love' in the title.

Can you name them all? 'Love Me Like You Do' by Ellie Goulding of course, 'Real Love' by Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne, Fergie's 'L.A Love' and Blonde's 'I Loved You'.

    8. Bruno Mars Uptown Funk

      8. 'Uptown Funk' charted at its lowest chart position since its release.

It's not exactly the worst news as its lowest position is No.3!

    9. Taylor Swift Blank Space Video 2

      9. Double Tay Tay!

Miss Swift made it a chart double taking both No.17 & No.18 with 'Shake It Off' and 'Blank Space'.

    10. Meghan Trainor and dancers dancing

      10. There were FIVE former No.1s in Sunday's chart.

'All About That Bass' by Meghan Trainor was one of five other former No.1s on Sunday. What other show are you going to find so much good music?!

    11. ellie

      11. Ellie does it again.

Ellie Goulding spent her second week at the top of the chart with her killer track 'Love Me Like You Do'.
