Nothing is taking Taylor Swift off the title of Number 1 in this week’s chart! After releasing her record-breaking album ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ in early October, it’s been a Taylor takeover in every Top 10 since. Fan-favourite single ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ marks nine weeks in the top spot and has now become the longest running number 1 on this chart since 2018!
Elsewhere in the chart Christmas is very much on the way as we see 13 Christmas tracks re-enter the chart!
Mariah Carey’s iconic track ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ made it’s first chart appearance last week and is now is up another 14 places to be seventh in our Top 10. We also see a first look in at potential Christmas number ones with ‘Fairytale of New York’ sitting at 9th, ‘Merry Christmas Everyone’ in the 13th spot and ‘Driving Home for Christmas’ at 16th.
Amongst this week’s new entries, we see more Wicked magic! The magical duet between Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey ‘As Long As You’re Mine’ makes it’s first chart appearance at 28 and it’s a triple Cynthia chart with ‘No Good Deed’ also at 23!
Rizzle Kicks also joined Will for today’s chart, ahead of their upcoming Jingle Bell Ball performance! The boys will be taking to the O2 stage on Saturday and talked to Will about what it feels like to be back, their upcoming tour and ranked their BIGGEST five songs!
With our favourite Christmas tunes slowly moving up the chart as we go into December, will it be a Christmas classic that knocks Taylor Swift from the top spot?
