Olivia’s brand new pop banger has shot straight to the top of the chart, following the success of her first single from the OR3 era, ‘drop dead’. Olivia is gearing up to release her third studio album, ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’, due to release on 12th June 2026. Judging by the vibe of the first two singles from the project, we’re already counting down the days until we can hear the rest!

New music alert! Elsewhere on the chart we had 8 brand new entries from the likes of Drake, Niall Horan and Muse. Niall’s latest single from his upcoming album ‘Dinner Party’ had fans well and truly in their feels after confirming the emotional track was written about the passing of friend and former bandmate, Liam Payne. In a recent interview, Niall revealed how he was initially “stuck” writing the song, but after admitting to himself that it was subconsciously about his grief and love for Liam, he was able to “finish the song in 5 minutes”.

Elsewhere on the chart, after the release of her highly-anticipated new Netflix documentary, Kylie Minogue’s ‘Lights Up’ has entered the chart at number 3. Could we be seeing a few Kylie throwbacks popping up in the Top 40 over the next couple of weeks?

Our highest climber of the week, and probably having something to do with the recent heatwave in the UK, up 11 places, is Zara Larsson’s summer BANGER ‘Lush Life’. Will be blasting this from my speakers on repeat with an ice cream in my hand for the next few weeks.

We also saw several re-entries into the Top 40, coming from Myles Smith, Olivia Dean and HUNTR/X.

Can Olivia hold onto the top spot for a second week in a row? Or could we see someone else bag the Number 1 spot?
