Olivia’s brand new pop banger 'the cure' shot straight to the top of the chart and stayed there! For the second consecutive week, 'the cure' sits in the top spot on the Top 40 chart.
This comes after the success of her first single from the OR3 era, ‘drop dead’. The 23-year-old pop star is gearing up to release her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, coming June 12th, 2026.
After hearing the first two singles from the project, we’re already know this record is going to full to the brim with hits!
Elsewhere on the chart it's been an exciting week for music as we've had 4 brand new entries from the likes of Ariana Grande, Shakira, Perrie and Becky Hill.
That's right, Ariana is officially back with the first single of her eighth studio album, Petal, which is set to be released on July 31st. She's began her next era with 'hate that i made you love me' and it's instantly become a fan favourite landing at 5th place on the Top 40.
Plus, Becky Hill announced that her third and "most personal album to date", Rebecca, is coming in September. Following the release of '>>>hands on me<<<' she's given us another track, and 'More! More! More!' went straight into the Top 40 at 38.
If that wasn't enough, Perrie has given us the perfect parting gift from her self-titled debut solo album. She dropped 'Passenger Princess' and it's gone to 34 in this week's Top 40.
Our highest climber of the week is Sam Fender and Olivia Dean's 'Rein Me In' which is probably because it's the perfect song to soundtrack a BBQ following another week of sun in the UK.
But, can Olivia hold onto the top spot for a THIRD week in a row? Or could we see someone else bag the Number 1 spot?
