Shawn Mendes reveals his favourite One Direction member

Shawn Mendes has discussed his love for One Direction at a Q&A before his show in Manchester.

Shawn was speaking to fans ahead of his Manchester Arena show, part of his 2019 Shawn Mendes: The Tour.

According to Shawn Mendes Updates on Twitter, a fan asked the Canadian singer what he thought of One Direction.

"I think I thought Harry was really awesome but I think they're all amazing," Shawn told fans, "Especially after meeting them all! They're all amazing people."

Another fan followed this up by asking Shawn whether his friend Niall Horan was his favourite member of the group.

"Yes he is!" Shawn responded, "He's my closest friend and I love him!"

Shawn and Niall have been friends for a number of years, after first meeting at the American Music Awards, and the pair have even discussed collaborating together in the past.

Shawn is currently on the European leg of on a huge, world tour and is set to perform in Birmingham, Leeds and Dublin this month before playing three shows at London's The O2 Arena.
