Little Mix have come out and denied Cardi B's claims that she was approached before Nicki Minaj to feature on the girls' new single 'Woman Like Me'.

Cardi B posted a series of videos on Instagram hitting out at rival Nicki Minaj and dragged Little Mix into the argument.

Cardi claimed that she was originally offered the rap verse on 'Woman Like Me' before her rival Nicki.

The 'I Like It' star even played a version of the track with just an instrumental in place of Nicki's verse to prove it.

Now, Perrie, Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Jade have clapped back with their own Instagram post defending Nicki.

"Sorry Cardi hun but this is the [tea] we've always wanted the queen (no shade)," the group wrote.

The X Factor winners shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp chat from July discussing the collaboration.

They also compiled all the times they've mentioned wanting to work with Nicki in interviews, including in a previous appearance on The Official Vodafone Big Top 40.

Nicki has also denied Cardi's claims in a string of tweets, saying that Little Mix have wanted to work with her for seven years but she was waiting for the right track.

Jade Thirlwall has also liked Nicki Minaj's comment to Cardi on Instagram:

"Stop trying to distract everyone about the fact that you lied about Rah beating your head in. ‘Babe we all get deals & turn them down. Same with songs dummy. Little Mix has been trying to get me on a song for 7 years. I finally found one I loved. Yes I passed on G Easy. What’s ur point babe? Have you ever written a rap?"

'Woman Like Me' has spent the last two weeks at Number 1 on The Official Vodafone Big Top 40.
