Listeners of The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X have got the show's intern into the charts.

Metal band Blyth Road made their chart debut this week as a New Entry on The Official Big Top 40.

The band's song 'Blood In My Alcohol' got to Number 31 on the UK's biggest chart show after a campaign by Radio X.

Harry from the band is a Global Academy student and intern on The Chris Moyles Show. After Chris and the team found out about his band, they encouraged Radio X listeners to download the track in the hope of getting it into the charts.

'Blood In My Alcohol' shot straight to the top of the iTunes chart and downloads and streams of the track across the week have been high enough to land the band a slot on The Official Big Top 40 this Sunday.

It's not the first time Chris Moyles has got behind a track and managed to get it into The Official Big Top 40.

Back in 2018, Chris' show championed Nick Knowles' music whilst he was on I'm A Celebrity... and got his cover of Adele's 'Make You Feel My Love' into the UK's biggest chart show.

And at Christmas in 2019, 'Merry ChrisMoyles Everybody' made it into the Top 10.
