Sigala and James Arthur's 'Lasting Lover' has gone to Number 1 on The Official Big Top 40.

Sigala and James Arthur have knocked Miley Cyrus from the top spot on the UK's biggest chart show.

Their new collaboration 'Lasting Lover' climbed to Number 1 on The Official Big Top 40 this Sunday, with the pair joining Will Manning on FaceTime as the news was revealed.

It's the first Number 1 since 2016 for both James and Sigala, as the track climbed a place from Number 2 last week.

Miley's 'Midnight Sky' had racked up four weeks at the top but slipped to second place this time around.

Rising star Tate McRae was also on the show as her latest single 'You Broke Me First' re-entered the Top 40.

Tate revealed that the song's sad message was inspired by her scrolling through Pinterest before the recording session.

There was three New Entries this week from Kylie Minogue, 220 Kid and JC Stewart, plus Topic and A7S.
