Before the game, legendary 90's band The Lightning Seeds took to the stage for a surprise set and, of course, performed their official number 1 song 'Three Lions' just before kick off to get the crowd ready for a World Cup party.
Marvin Humes was down at Hyde Park to present lead singer Ian Broudie with The Official Vodafone Big Top 40 No. 1 trophy after the band took the top spot on last Sunday's chart (8th July 2018), twenty two years after the song's original release.
Sadly, the game didn't go the plan with Croatia going to through to the final, winning 2-1 after extra time.
Still, Gareth Southgate's boys have done us proud and - in a way - football sort of did come home, didn't it?
