X Factor winner Dalton Harris goes straight to Number 1 with 'The Power of Love'

11 December 2018, 10:58

Dalton Harris - the winner of The X Factor 2018 - has debuted at Number 1 with his winners single 'The Power of Love'. The Frankie Goes to Hollywood cover features 2012 winner, James Arthur.

'The Power of Love' was released after The X Factor final and just a week later was top of The Official Vodafone Big Top 40.

It beat another James Arthur collaboration to take the Number 1, with James' cover of 'Rewrite the Stars' with Anne-Marie from The Greatest Showman: Reimagined album having to settle for second place.

Kat Shoob caught up with Dalton Harris and he revealed the huge wish list of artists he'd like to work with, including Cheryl, Little Mix, Ariana Grande and Louis Tomlinson.

The X Factor winner also said he'd be interested in hooking up with Fifth Harmony's Normani - musically and romantically!

Last week's Number 1 - 'Sweet but Psycho' from Ava Max - slipped three places to Number 4 on this week's chart.

Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus' new song 'Nothing Breaks Like a Heart' at Number 3 was one of the week's biggest climbers and is a strong contender to knock Dalton Harris off the Number 1 spot next week.

There were also a bunch of Christmas songs re-entering the chart and a New Entry from George Ezra.
