Ed Sheeran features in the first trailer for Danny Boyle's new movie 'Yesterday', which is based around The Beatles.

Yesterday tells the story of Jack Malik, who is billed "the only man who can remember The Beatles."

After being hit by a bus during a worldwide power cut, he wakes up to find that the The Beatles never existed and he's the only one to remember that they ever did.

Jack takes this opportunity to kickstart his own musical career by passing off The Beatles songs as his own - becoming a global sensation in the process.

Himesh Patel has been cast in the main role, alongside Lily James and Kate McKinnon. Ed Sheeran plays E.J. in the movie, which also stars James Corden and The Beatles' Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr as themselves.

The musical-comedy has been written by Love Actually's Richard Curtis and was filmed in East Anglia last year.

Danny Boyle is best-known for directing blockbusters Trainspotting and Slumdog Millionaire, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

After the success of Bohemian Rhapsody in 2018 - based around the music of Queen - it looks like 2019 could be all about The Beatles' tunes when Yesterday comes out this summer. The film is set for release on June 28th 2019.
