Selena Gomez is no longer the most-followed individual account on Instagram after her follower count was beaten by a famous footballer.
Selena Gomez has held the title of being the most-followed person on Instagram since March 2016, when she knocked her friend Taylor Swift off the top spot.
But now Selena herself has been dethroned, with Juventus and Portugal footballer Cristiano Ronaldo racking up more followers.

Selena and Cristiano had been neck-and-neck with just a few thousand followers between them but now Cristiano has edged ahead of the 'Back To You' singer.
Cristiano Ronaldo has over 144 million Instagram followers at the time of writing.
The most-followed account overall is Instagram's own official account, with over 260 million followers.
Just behind Selena and Cristiano is 'No Tears Left To Cry' singer Ariana Grande on 132 million followers.
Meanwhile, Kylie Jenner holds the record for the most-liked picture on Instagram. The first photo of her daughter Stormi now has over 18 million likes on the app.
