Calvin Harris and Sam Smith were battling it out for Number 1 this week.

The British stars went to Number 1 together with 'Promises' last year but this week went head-to-head.

Sam Smith's 'Dancing With A Stranger' knocked Calvin's 'Giant' off the Number 1 spot after just one week at the top.

The track with Normani climbed a place and Sam joined Will Manning on the phone from LA to hear the news.

It meant Calvin's collaboration with Rag'n'Bone Man had to settle for the Number 2 spot, with Ariana Grande's latest single '7 Rings' jumping a place to Number 3.

'Dancing With A Stranger' becomes Sam's eighth Number 1 on The Official Big Top 40, making him one of the most successful stars ever. He's one behind Calvin Harris who has nine Number 1 songs.

After joining Will on the show last week, Mabel's new song 'Don't Call Me Up' climbed a massive 30 places to Number 4.

The week's highest New Entry came from Dua Lipa - her track 'Swan Song' from the new movie Alita: Battle Angel entered the chart at Number 22 just two days after it was released.
