JLS are No. 1
JLS only released their debut single on Sunday morning and went we went on air at 4pm, ‘Beat Again’ was nowhere to be seen in our chart.
Throughout the day and during the show, JLS’s huge fan base have been downloading the song from iTunes in their thousands, which meant that by the time we lockdown the chart at 6pm. JLS got this week’s highest new entry at No. 1.
We also saw new entries this week for the Black Eyed Peas, giving them a second song in the top. It’s their follow-up to ‘Boom Boom Pow’, it’s called ‘I Gotta Feeling’ and it was new this week at No. 5.
And at No. 9, up and coming London rapper claimed his first top ten hit with his new single, ‘Diamond Rings’.
