John Legend's 'Ordinary People' goes top 10
'Ordinary People' was originally a hit for John Legend back in 2005 and now, thanks to a contestant on The Voice, the song has charted at No. 2 on the Vodafone Big Top 40.
London teacher, Jaz Ellington from London left the show's judges Jessie J and will.i.am in tears after he performed the track on Saturday night's show.
Within hours of the show, viewers had taken to iTunes in their thousands to download the John Legend original and put it the real-time top 10.
As the Vodafone Big Top 40 is a real-time chart, when we locked down out chart on Sunday's show, John Legend had made it to No. 2 holding off some of the week's biggest songs including Fun and the week's big release from Conor Maynard.
The 27-year-old's performance came in the last of the series' blind auditions, next week the show moves on to the battle rounds, where the judges acts will face each other head-to-head.
